A leadership role is something most professionals aim for. But where does one begin, a graduate preparing for your first career or a young professional who perceives themselves working towards their first leadership role? In my years working with young emerging leaders, I have heard comments

‘I am not great in my communication, I can’t be a leader’, or I am not experienced enough.

Long gone were the myths that leadership are associated to an official job title or having a team to lead. So, what does it mean to be a future leader? It simply means taking charge of your career from the get-go, nurturing the attributes of a leader. Developing the ability to self-lead yourself first, and showing the world that you can lead others too.
